The exhibition of Lado Gudiashvili, “The Paris Years, 1920-1925” opened on July 1, 2010, in the Stroganov Palace of the Russian Museum in St.-Petersburg. The exposition was previously presented in the Tretyakov Gallery. The exhibition is supported by the group of Unident companies and the charity-cultural fund U-Art: You and Art. The six years which Lado Gudiashvili spent in Paris produced one of the most successful and productive periods in his creative biography. Gudiashvili presented works such as Spring (Green woman), Female portrait, Smokers, Bather in the Forest, Head of a Warrior, Youth with fallow deer, Binge under the tree. The exposition includes art works of Lado Gudiashvili from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and private collection of Tamaz and Iveta Manasherov. This is the most complete collection of the Georgian artist of the XX century which was presented to a wide audience. |
