On November 26th 2009 in the Marble Palace of the Russian Museum a large exhibition project "The First PhotoBienniale of the Russian Museum" has started.
The exhibition was organized with the support of the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg, the charity-cultural foundation U-Art: You and Art and the Unident company.
During the PhotoBienniale the jury will choose three winners and U-Art: You and Art fund will hand over it's special prize.

As the result of the competition first tour near 1200 photos were selected.
All the photos which went to the second tour and which were represented at the exhibition, were included in the catalogue, published by the Russian Museum with the support of the charity-cultural foundation U-Art: You and Art and the Unident company.

The exhibition will last till February 2010.
During the exhibition jury will choose three winners and all the visitors can vote for a winner in nomination "Audience award".
As the closing of the First PhotoBienniale the founders of U-Art  Iveta and Tamaz Manasherov will choose the best artwork and award the winner a special prize.

The exhibition turned out fresh and original, and the most important part is that the big Russian museum has finally got interested in the modern photography.
The purpose of "The First PhotoBienniale of the Russian Museum" was achieved as the organizers managed to find new names and tendencies in every kind and genre of the modern Russian photography and show their art potential.
