Concert dedicated to the famous Italian composer and cellist Luigi Boccherini, finished the third Cello Festival VIVACELLO, organized by cultural and charitable foundation U-Art. On the International Day of Music, October 1, on the stage were four cellists from different countries and performed four concerts Boccherini, accompanied by chamber orchestra "Musica Viva".

— Sooner or later such festival as VIVACELLO certainly would appear - says one of the founders of the foundation U-Art Tamaz Manasherov. – On the one hand, the idea is original, but on the other - quite naturally follow from the context of Russian musical culture. Russia has great cello traditions, which are primarily associated with the name of Mstislav Rostropovich, Daniil Shafran, and worthy, widely present them at international level, to enable the residents of Moscow to feel in the center of musical life - the idea lying on the surface, even necessity.

First suggested and decided to turn this idea into reality, Boris Andrianov - known Moscow cellist and winner of prestigious international competitions. Under his artistic leadership passedalready three festival, and today we can say that the name VIVACELLO associates with the largest Russian Cello event not only in our country but also abroad. The Festival naturally flowedinto the global life of cello music.

— - World over there are big cello festivals, - says the art director of VIVACELLO Boris Andrianov. - In Germany and in England such events are exist, needn’t to mention Japan where take place the cello congresses and symposia. But in Moscow we never had cello events, it is a pity - because it is here have their own traditions and school.
The Third Festival memorized by its range of formats and styles of performance. Throughout the festival week there were no similar to each other shows.

This VIVACELLO was interesting to a very different audiences - from aficionados of classical music to the young people accustomed to the club subculture. But in whatever format or a concert, he was imbued with the special spirit of the festival, which combines live, modern trends with respect to the classics.

According to the founders of U-Art: Iveta and Tamaz Manasherov, the festival has proved such actual largely due to current ideas of Boris Andrianov, who manages to make classical music open to a wide audience.

The festival opened with a concert in the Hall. Tchaikovsky, which was attended by world-famous musicians - Yuri Bashmet and the chamber ensemble "Soloists of Moscow", Boris Andrianov, Alexander Rudin and Steven Isserlis. The soloists at the closing concert were Denis Shapovalov, Alexander Buzlov, Claudio Boorkes and Michelle Letiek.

Only the cast did festival very interesting for lovers of classical music in Moscow. And original concerts at unusual for classical singers grounds Strelka-Institute and PROEKT_FABRIKA introduced particular strokes to the portrait of cello music. By the way, to the issue how cello present itself in works of visual art, was devoted a separate project within the framework of the festival. Catch the essence of the instrument sought artists, filmmakers and, of course, musicians.

— - Me personally cello attracts by proximity to the timbre of human voice, so it easier to perceive than many other tools - said party of the festival, professor of Moscow Conservatory cellist Alexander Buzlov. - I was a kid, when I first heard the sound of the cello and fell in love with him. Then my parents bought me the instrument, but the feature is that it is very difficult to start playing, learn how to extract certan sound. And I remember how I cried that I could not get that sound I heard, and still remember very well - it is the sound of an old cello Gosskollektsii - shared the musician.

The Festival dedicated to the only instrument – cello, this why it is unique for Russia. Against the background of piano and violin cello - a less visible instrument, not so many compositions is written for it. But cello has its own special sound and charm, the festival organizers tried to open it. The unique tool language turned up understandable and close for many listeners, who left the hall after VIVACELLO concerts a little more thoughtful than usual.
