U-Art

Cultural beneficent foundation U-ART: You and Art, founded by private collectors Tamaz and Iveta Manasherovs, is supporting international events in fields of music, paintings and sculpture.

Keeping to the best traditions of Russian arts patronage, U-Art: You and Art helps to save and develop our rich cultural heritage. Activities of the U-Art: You and Art fund is concentrated to return cultural properties to their native land; carry out international and Russian festivals, exhibitions and competitions; join hands of all men of virtu to international support of multinational Russian and world culture; as well as contribution to development of science and education.

From September 27th till October 1st in Moscow has passed the Third international Cello Festival VIVACELLO. It is the only Russian festival devoted to cello music.

This year among the participants are world-renowned musicians such as Yuri Bashmet, Julian Rachlin, Sergei Nakaryakov, Alexander Rudin, Claudio Boorkes, Katia Skanavi and famous musical collectives: The State Symphony Orchestra "New Russia", the chamber orchestra "Musica Viva", Chamber Ensemble "Soloists of Moscow" and many others.

April 7, 2011 at the Centre of Contemporary Culture "Garage" took place the sixth solemn ceremony of awarding the All-Russian competition in the field of contemporary visual art INNOVATION. Traditionally, co-organizer of the ceremony came out the cultural and charitable fund U-Art, sponsor - a group of companies UNIDENT.

In September 2010 in France within the program «Year of Russia in France and France in Russia» two personal exhibitions of one of the famous modern artist Oscar Rabin were started at once. Rabin, an expressionist, nonconformist and the founder of the «Lianozovsky group» and the participant of well-known "bulldozer exhibition» has presented more than 100 author's works, drawings, archival photos, video and movies of the Soviet epoch.

The exhibition with such a poetic and mysterious name was opened on August 12 in Benois Wing of the State Russian Museum. In four halls the image of sky was presented by many artists who worked in different epochs and represented the different styles and ways of art. Every visitor can find his sky here.

The exhibition of Lado Gudiashvili, “The Paris Years, 1920-1925” opened on July 1, 2010, in the Stroganov Palace of the Russian Museum in St.-Petersburg. The exposition was previously presented in the Tretyakov Gallery. Exposition includes art works of Lado Gudiashvili from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and private collection of Tamaz and Iveta Manasherov. This is the most complete collection of the Georgian artist of the XX century which was presented to a wide audience..

Laureates of the Modern Art award were named on 15th of April in the Baibakov Art Projects room in the territory of «Red October» factory. Annual competition «Innovation» is a unique event, this award is the only state award for modern Russian artists.

From 9th till 17th of March the Second International Violoncello Festival "VIVACELLO" took place on the scene of the Great Hall of the conservatory and Theater "School of Drama Art" in Moscow. During the festival 4 concerts of classic music took place.

The most well-known classiс musicians played the works of I.S. Bach, P. I. Tchaikovsky, A. L. Rybnikov, A. S. Arsensky, G.V. Gladkov, С. Saint-Saens, H. Villa-Lobos and Russian national romances.

On November 26th 2009 in the Marble Palace of the Russian Museum a large exhibition project "The First PhotoBienniale of the Russian Museum" has started. The exhibition was organized with the support of the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg, the charity-cultural foundation U-Art: You and Art and the Unident company. During the PhotoBienniale the jury will choose three winners and U-Art: You and Art fund will hand over it's special prize.

On November 17 the timed to the opening of the exhibition «Lado Gudiashvili. The Paris Years. 1920-1925» vernisage took place at the State Tretyakov Gallery. The wide public was able to estimate over 60 painting and graphic works of the most interesting and unknown in Russia part of the Gudiashvili’s art «the Paris period».

Dina Vierny, the owner of one of the foremost Paris galleries and once the source of inspiration of famous Frenchof sculptor Aristide Maillol has died at the age of 88 in France.

After Maillol's death, Dina Vierny collected the work of Maillol and dozens of his contemporaries, including Matisse and Bonnard, Marcel Duchamp, Wassily Kandinsky, Ilya Kabakov and Vladimir Yankilevsky. These works are now displayed at the MusЁ¦e Maillol in Paris.

Mart (Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto) celebrates the centenary of Italy's leading avant-garde movement by taking a fresh look at it in an exhibition, reconstructing its development within the historical context of the early 20th century.
As part of the celebrations of the Centenary of the Futurist Manifesto, FUTURISMO100 is the main event, under the patronage of the Ministry for Cultural Affairs.

There was a gala opening of Oscar Rabin retrospective exhibition Tree Lives, the nonconformist and the classic of Soviet unofficial culture at the State Tretyakov Gallery on Ocober 28, 2009.

Oscar Rabin's pictures, whom European critics called Soljenitsin in Art, truly and expressively reflected feelings of society of 60-70 years. However the creation of the painter does not lose their actual speech to the present time.

The actualization of such a great project has become true because of conjointly efforts of two sides: The State Tretyakov Gallery and U-ART Cultural Center with founders Iveta and Tamaz Manasherov.

On 26th March in Moscow club B1 MAXIMUM the gala presentation an awards in the field of the modern art - Innovation has taken place.
UNIDENT and U-ART were partners of this of event.

This program is to popularize and promote Russian contemporary art and to present individual and corporative efforts in patronage and sponsorship in the sphere of contemporary Russian art culture. The main project of the program is the Innovation annual competition which peaks in the award of the same name, a high-prestige national award in the sphere of contemporary art. This award is to single out significant phenomena corresponding to the newest strategies and trends in actual art, and to attract the attention of the general public to the processes and achievements in this sphere of culture.

Soviet Venus - unusual exhibition has been opened on the 1st November 2007  in Russian museum /St.-Petersburg/. More than 120 art-objects were presented on the exhibition - paintings, drawings, sculptures - images of beautiful women of the Soviet epoch.

The presentation of Oscar Rabine's first monography, prepared by publishing house Palace Editions and the State Russian Museum with support A&C-PROJECTS and cultural foundation U-ART was presented  on VI International Art Salon in Art Manege /Moscow/ on 31st May 2007.
The monography has been published in three languages /Russian, French and English/, and after successful presentation in France, the second native land of the painter, has been presented to Russia.
